Using a cable and a crane, Jeep hauled a redesigned 2005 Grand Cherokee up the side of the 30-story 2 Penn Plaza building in New York on Thursday, Oct. 21. The vehicle landed in a "Jeep only" parking spot at the top of the building. The stunt was designed to stress the SUV's capability and coincided with the vehicle's sales launch. The Grand Cherokee and redesigned 2005 Dodge Dakota are the last of nine products the Chrysler group is introducing this year.
