Three decades ago, James David Power III dreamed up his first automotive quality survey while working at his kitchen table. Now he wants to conquer the world, but he needs more money to do it.
J.D. Power and Associates has hired private capital firm Evercore Partners of New York to determine how to raise money to expand. That might include issuing shares of stock or even the sale of the company.
So far, J.D. Power has financed growth using its own cash flow.
The Westlake Village, Calif., consulting company employs 600 staffers in 10 offices around the world.
