Reporter Sylviane de Saint-Seine's column, Logan with a twist, and your editorial, Style versus substance, (Automotive News Europe, October 4) have nailed the theses to the church door.
The industry has strayed too much into the sale of fripperies and indulgences, and no longer knows where it's going.
It needs to rediscover the old virtues of providing economically and environmentally affordable transportation, which is perfectly compatible with earning honest returns.
How appropriate that Renault should resume its historical mission of creating automobiles that meet real needs.
