Dodge will try to recapture the excitement of one of the hottest cars of the late 1960s with the 2006 Charger - Hemi power and all.
While earlier models had two doors, the 2006 model has four, but it is styled to look like a coupe with its sloping rear roofline.
This drawing released by Dodge shows that much of the Charger's sheet metal is distinct from that of its sibling, the Chrysler 300 sedan. For example, a high shoulder begins near the middle of the Charger's rear door and extends to the end of the deck lid.
The Charger's rear deck is shorter than the 300's, and the Charger's roof line is less formal.
Sales begin in the spring.
