BMW Manufacturing Co. has named Peter Giliam vice president of total vehicle quality management, the company said Wednesday.
He replaces Peter Tuennermann, who returned to Munich to work at BMWs research and innovation center.
Giliam most recently was general manager of quality and launch at BMW's Rosslyn plant in South Africa. He joined BMW in 1983.
Giliam has held several positions with the automaker, such as manager of engineering and testing at the Rosslyn plant and director of assembly at the Birmingham plant in England.
