Metaldyne Corp. said Wednesday that it named Tom Chambers president of its engine group, replacing George Thanopoulos, who resigned to pursue other opportunities.
Chambers was most recently president of Detroit, Mich.-based Piston Group.
Chambers also has worked at GKN Americas, ITT Industries and General Motors.
Plymouth Township, Mich.-based Metaldyne has three groups engine, chassis and driveline. The engine group has 20 plants, sales offices and tech centers and 3,000 employees worldwide.
The company also said that Roseann Stevens, newly appointed vice president of sales and marketing, will report directly to Chairman and CEO Tim Leuliette. She previously reported to Thanopoulos.
