Aug. 10--- Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger had a lot of support from car dealers when he was elected governor of California.
Since his election, he has proven to be a friend of dealers. Gov. Schwarzenegger came down against a bill that would have allowed used-car buyers as many as three days to change their minds and get a refund.
And hes against further limitations on how much dealers can make for arranging retail financing for customers.
But Schwarzenegger the tough-guy actor has been in a legal battle with a dealer in Ohio. In a $20 million lawsuit filed before he was elected, Schwarzenegger claimed the dealer used a photo of the actor in his Terminator role without permission in a dealership ad.
A federal appeals court dismissed the suit because it was filed in California, not Ohio, where the dealership is.
Now Schwarzenegger must decide whether to go to court in Ohio or stay in California and try to work out a settlement.
