NEW DELHI (Reuters) -- Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd., India's biggest utility vehicles and tractor maker, said on Tuesday its automotive division sold 10,902 vehicles in July, up 28 percent from 8,520 units a year ago.
The sales included 8,299 utility vehicles, 849 light commercial vehicles and 1,754 three-wheelers, Mahindra said in a statement. Mahindra sold 6,443 utility vehicles, 633 light commercial vehicles and 1,444 three-wheelers in July 2003.
Utility vehicle sales in July included 2,227 units of the Scorpio model, up from 1,978 units a year ago.
Total tractor sales, including exports, rose to 3,354 units from 2,800 last year.
