LONDON -- Judges selected 15 finalists in Automotive News Europe's second annual automotive advertising awards.
All 15 are prizewinners in five different categories. But gold, silver or bronze medal winners will be announced at a gala awards ceremony September 23 before the start of the Paris auto show.
Juan Jose Diaz Ruiz, who has held top sales and marketing positions at Fiat Auto, Toyota Europe, Audi and Seat, chaired the nine-member judging panel.
Judges selected the finalists from almost 300 entries submitted by automakers and their advertising agencies.
"The overall quality of the entries was very high this year," Diaz Ruiz said. "It was difficult for the judges to find clear-cut winners."
Volkswagen group advertising did well in the competition, taking five places in four categories, including three for Volkswagen brand. But Fiat, Peugeot, BMW and Volvo brands also were each double winners.
Agencies from seven countries -- the Czech Republic, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the UK -- are among the 15 finalists.
The finalists for each category, listed alphabetically by client, campaign and agency are:
