Surfers of Edmunds.com can now quickly buy or sell vehicles on AutoTrader.com.
The sites have inked a two-year deal to have AutoTrader.com provide the results for folks on Edmunds' site searching for a used car. Users of Edmunds who want to sell a used car also will be sent to AutoTrader.com.
In both cases, visitors are asked to enter their zip code in order to make sure the results are geographically close. Results include used cars sold by individuals and dealerships, and certified used cars sold by dealerships.
Financial terms of the deal were not released.
AutoTrader.com does not have a reciprocal link to the Edmunds.com site, but an AutoTrader spokeswoman said the two companies are still in talks.
AutoTrader.com, headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., lists more than 2.5 million new and used vehicles on its site. Edmunds.com is a Santa Monica, Calif., company that has automotive research, reviews, pricing and data services on its Web site.
