The quality of cars and trucks continues to improve, according to most industry metrics. And when there are quality problems with vehicles, manufacturers and dealers are better at finding the bugs and fixing them.
But that doesn't mean every vehicle gets fixed or that every customer is satisfied.
The owner of a small business in England found an interesting way to deal with his frustrations over a long list of persistent mechanical problems that have plagued his Iveco delivery van since he bought it nearly four years ago.
He had his feelings painted on the side of his truck in neat, six-inch high letters. The sign says: "THIS IS THE WORST VAN I HAVE EVER OWNED!"
The Daily Express newspaper in London ran a picture and a story. That may not be enough to get the van fixed.
But it certainly will ruin its value as a trade-in.
