"Dateline NBC" recently broadcast another attack on car dealers.
"Tricks of the Trade," however, was not Stone Phillips' first attack on the car business. I bet many also remember a previous attack conducted by Phillips and his cohort Jane Pauley regarding the Chevrolet saddlebag gas tank explosions.
Unfortunately, in that expose, "Dateline NBC" was caught rigging those trucks to explode upon impact.
It was nice of Stone to say that "Not all dealers practice these deceptions." I believe to be fair, we in the car business should also disclaim that not all sensational journalists practice these deceptions, even though some have been known to blow up trucks.
I wonder how he can be considered a credible source.
