LAS VEGAS - FordDirect has started a service that uses Internet technology to help dealers track phone calls, measure results from advertising campaigns and train salespeople.
FordDirect Call Track-10 provides dealerships 10 national toll-free numbers that are assigned to advertising media. As calls are generated by dealers' advertisements, they are recorded and logged with available demographic information into a Web site and a dealer's lead management system.
The service was announced here at the National Automobile Dealers Association convention this month.
FordDirect is a joint venture between Ford Motor Co. and its dealers. The company says that the service will sell for $499 per month, and that no contract is required.
