SHANGHAI -- Shanghai Automotive Industry Group's 2004 revenue should rise a slim 1.6 percent in 2004.
China's No. 1 passenger-car maker, which partners with both Volkswagen and General Motors, expects sales this year to hit 740,000 units.
The sales projection includes 460,000 units for Shanghai Volkswagen and 280,000 units for Shanghai GM.
The low projection is due to continued price wars in China's passenger-car market.
