LAS VEGAS - Paul Holloway has won the Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award.
Holloway, president of Dreher-Holloway Inc. in Exeter, N.H., was scheduled to receive the award on Saturday, Jan. 31, at the National Automobile Dealers Association convention here.
Sixty-three dealers were nominated this year. The Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award recognizes new-car dealers for exceptional performance in their dealerships and distiniguished community service.
The award is co-sponsored by Time and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in cooperation with NADA. Faculty members from the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business Administration selected the finalists.
Holloway, 65, began his automotive career more than 40 years ago and owns five dealerships in southern New Hampshire.
Holloway was given the Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award for his Mercedes-BMW-Jaguar dealership in Exeter.
Holloway, who served as NADA chairman in 1998, also served on the University System of New Hampshire Board of Trustees for 16 years and was appointed chairman for the final four years.
He is a recipient of the Robert Frost Outstanding Citizen Award, the Laurence Whittemore Distinguished Service Medal from the University of New Hampshire and an honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from the University of New Hampshire.
A newly constructed student residence hall at Keene State College was named for Holloway and a student center on the campus of the University of New Hampshire was dedicated to him.
