LOS ANGELES – Infinitis first full-sized SUV, the QX56, goes on sale in late February at a price of $48,080 for the rear-wheel-drive version and $51,080 for the all-wheel-drive model. Both prices include a $680 destination cost.
The vehicles come equipped with a 5.6-liter V-8 engine producing 315 hp and 390 pounds-feet of torque. The only options are the $1,200 sunroof; a $1,100 smart vision package, which is a camera in the rear license plate that provides a picture of what is behind the vehicle; and a $1,600 mobile entertainment system.
Steve Wilhite, vice president of marketing for Nissan North America, says the company expects to sell 15,000 of the vehicles, with 75 percent of the sales being the awd version.
