DETROIT - The Chrysler group says it will offer its suppliers' employees a discount on vehicle purchases.
Supplier employees can buy or lease two Chrysler group vehicles each year at a rate that is 1 percent below the factory invoice, plus a $25 administration fee.
Buyers also can use incentives offered to the public.
For example, the sticker price of a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo is $30,722. The factory invoice is $28,829.
With the 1 percent discount plus the $25 administration fee, the price tag would be $28,566, less any other incentives that would apply.
The program is limited to employees of U.S. suppliers.
