BURLINGTON, Vt. - Chevrolet's 2004 Malibu Maxx, due in December, will have a base price of $22,225, including destination.
Chevrolet General Manager Brent Dewar announced the pricing at a national media program here. He said the price is for the LS trim level. The LT version has a base price of $24,725. A fully loaded Maxx LT will cost $27,075.
The Maxx is a longer wheelbase variant of the 2004 Malibu, built on the Epsilon mid-sized car architecture.
General Motors also revealed pricing for the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon mid-sized pickups.
Lynn Myers, Pontiac-GMC general manager, said the base model Canyon, a two-wheel-drive regular cab model, will start at $16,530. A four-wheel-drive crew cab will cost $23,725.
The Colorado base model will be priced at $16,200. A four-wheel-drive crew cab will cost $23,230.
All prices include destination charges. The Colorado and Canyon are expected in dealerships in November.
