More than 250 Aston Martin assembly line workers staged a three-hour strike on Friday, Aug. 8., to protest a proposed company policy of flexible working hours.
A labor union official told the BBC that Aston Martin workers are paid less than Jaguar or Land Rover workers and work longer hours. A new policy that would allow for Saturday working hours is not tolerable and could spark future strikes of longer duration, the official warned.
