MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama LLC has ordered an engine machining and assembly system from Unova Industrial Automation Systems of Chesterfield Township, Mich.
Lamb Technicon assembly lines and computer controlled grinders will be incorporated in the system.
The assembly line will make parts for Hyundai's 3.3-liter V-6 engine. The new lines will be capable of producing 200,000 engines annually.
Production is expected to begin in 2005.
