DETROIT - Future Three Software Inc. of Northville, Mich., has been acquired by one of its competitors, Agilisys International of Atlanta.
Both companies specialize in software to manage the supply chain. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
John Flavin, former CEO of Future Three (future3.com), plans to stay on as senior vice president of worldwide development. Flavin says fewer than 20 of Future Three's 100 employees would lose their jobs as a result of the acquisition.
Dave Van Noord, vice president of product management, technology and marketing at Agilisys (agilisys.com), says the company wanted to add Future Three to expand its automotive offerings. Agilisys has offices in 13 countries. It has about 1,500 customers in 31 countries.
