CARPINTERIA, Calif. - Tier 1 supplier Metaldyne Inc. (metaldyne.com) of Plymouth, Mich., has agreed to test QAD Inc.'s new Kanban Visualization software, QAD reports.
Kanban Visualization will be used with QAD's Supply Visualization software, which extracts inventory and procurement data from manufacturers' enterprise systems and stores it on MFGx.net, a hosted exchange where suppliers can access information and replenish supplies.
QAD (qad.com), with fiscal year 2003 sales of $195.2 million, is based in Carpinteria, Calif.
