RICHARD JOHNSON'S thoughts regarding the need for collaboration among Britain's specialist car manufacturers (May 19 issue) are valid indeed. A well considered liaison strategy would allow the specific competencies of each company to be shared among non-competing brands. This knowledge bank would underpin a new era of growth for many, allowing for an improvement in product quality and diversity, and critically assisting the often problematic business model equation.
