June 17 -- Porsche dealers are happy that the automaker finally has a certified used-vehicle program.
It's also good news for customers who have been thinking abut buying their first Porsche.
Dealers are happy because just about every other luxury brand already has a program. And some, like BMW, have done a great job attracting buyers to the brand -- buyers who may not have been able to afford a new luxury car right now, but who eventually will.
Under the Porsche program, low-mileage cars up to eight years old will be certified with a warranty.
For buyers looking for a price break on a Porsche, a certified used car is the best bet. You won't ever find rebates. Porsche headquarters in Stuttgart has ruled that incentives are verboten.
