Oxford Automotive Inc. has named former Kmart Corp. CFO Martin Welch as its executive vice president and CFO.
Welch was CFO for the retailer from 1995 to 2001. Before that, he was CFO for Federal-Mogul Corp. and Chrysler Canada.
He reports to John Potter, Oxford's president and CEO. Welch, 54, replaces former Oxford CFO Tim Gargaro, who left the company to pursue other opportunities.
Oxford, of Troy, Mich., is a supplier of suspensions and chassis. The company, which had $454 million in North American original equipment auto parts sales, ranked 89th on Automotive News' 2002 list of the Top 150 original equipment suppliers to North America.
