LONDON -- Toyota Motor Corp. will add a third shift at its plants in Burnaston, England, and Valenciennes, France, starting next year.
Automotive News Europe reports that capacity will rise more than 20 percent to about 270,000 vehicles annually in England. Toyota makes the Corolla and Avensis at Burnaston.
At Valenciennes, where Toyota builds the Yaris, capacity will rise to 210,000 vehicles, from 184,000. It ultimately will reach 240,000.
