ZF Group named Julio Caspari president of its North American operations. The appointment is effective June 1.
Caspari takes over for Bernd Habersack, who will continue to serve on ZF's board of management and maintains his role as president and CEO of ZF Lemforder, the supplier's chassis technology division.
Caspari, 52, has most recently served as president of the supplier's North American powertrain and suspension components division, ZF Sachs, since 2001. He has worked for ZF since 2001, when the supplier purchased powertrain and suspension component supplier Sachs. He had worked for Sachs since 1975.
ZF Friedrichshafen AG, of Friedrichshafen, Germany, is a supplier of driveline and chassis technology.
ZF Group North American Operations, of Florence, Ky., ranks No. 22 on the Automotive News list of the Top 150 original equipment parts suppliers to North America. The company had about $1.8 billion in North American original equipment auto parts sales in 2002.
