WASHINGTON - General Motors is recalling nearly 1.8 million more light trucks to repair windshield wipers that are prone to fail.
This latest GM campaign means that about 3.5 million of the company's pickups, SUVs and vans will have been called back for the same problem during the past five years.
The fix entails replacing the windshield wiper circuit board and motor cover.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says cracked solder joints on the circuit board cause wipers to fail intermittently or completely.
