DETROIT - Metaldyne Inc. will supply nine components for Magna Steyr's Integrated Transfer Case.
The transfer case will power four-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive SUVs for European automakers.
Metaldyne will supply oil pump assemblies, clutch baskets, sprocket shafts, forged input shafts, drive and driven sprockets, hub control clutches, differential side gears and differential pinions.
The components will be manufactured at five plants in North America and Europe.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Metaldyne, of Plymouth, Mich., supplies forged/powdered metal, engines, transmissions, axle/drivelines, wheel end and suspension components.
