With the auto industry's seemingly never-ending focus on competitive incentives, continued globalization and the introduction of products and technological developments, I found it refreshing to note that General Motors took time out to grant Alex Morency his special wish.
Alex, 16, is afflicted with a rare form of bone cancer, and his special wish was to be CEO of GM for a day (Briefly, April 28).
I believe it is a wonderful reminder to those of us in the industry that its primary purpose remains to serve humanity.
GM is richer for this latest addition to its leadership ranks.
With that appointment, it has done Jack Smith's legacy proud.
