I have to agree with the detractors who say the new Pontiac GTO styling lacks something. I think I am in the target demographic for that car - a 43-year-old who owns a 2002 Chrysler 300M and enjoys driving fast.
I loved everything I read about the new GTO: power, stick shift, rear drive, and I was sure it was my next car until I saw it at the auto show. I almost mistook it for a Chevy Cavalier!
The significant point is that I did not grow up in this country, and I doubt I could recognize an original GTO unless I saw the badge. So if Pontiac is trying for non-GTO savvy consumers, it missed this one.
