FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - AutoNation Inc. is changing the name of its Internet lead-referral business from AutoVantage to AutoUSA.
The change will not affect the 3,400 dealer franchises using the service, a spokesman says.
AutoNation has used the AutoVantage name for three years under a licensing agreement with Triligent Corp. of Norwalk, Conn. The agreement expires this week.
AutoNation says its lead-referral business is profitable and has grown from $10 million in revenue in 2000 to $40 million last year.
