MEXICO CITY - Visteon Corp. will supply the cockpit system for the 2004 and 2005 model years of the Ford Ikon. The vehicle is built at Ford Motor Co.'s plant in Cuautitlan, Mexico.
The Visteon cockpit system includes plastics, vehicle structure, electronics, electrical architecture, steering and climate systems. Clusters are shipped from Brazil to Visteon's Carplastic plant in Monterrey, Mexico, and assembled in the cockpit system.
Visteon, of Dearborn, Mich., supplies chassis, climate control, cockpits, electronics, powertrain control, engine management and fuel systems.
