DETROIT -- General Motors said on Thursday it has extended its incentive offer of 0 percent interest financing for up to five years across most of its lineup through June 2.
The program includes all new 2003 Buick, GMC, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saab and Saturn vehicles, and all Chevrolets except the Corvette. The Cadillac Escalade and Cadillac Escalade ESV sport utility vehicles and the Cadillac Escalade EXT pickup truck are also included in the program.
The automaker also said it is offering cash rebates of up to $3,000 on most vehicles. No incentives are offered on the Hummer SUVs.
GM's incentive offer comes as automakers are expected to report April sales results on Thursday down from last year's strong levels, but above the weak results seen since December.
GM's incentives helped the automaker boost its U.S. market share the past two years, but in recent months, the world's largest automaker has lost share.
