Toyota Motor Corp., which would like to be known as an American company, has taken a step in that direction with a complex April incentive program that rivals anything the American companies have put together.
Toyota suggested that this statement accompany the presentation of the program: "For the sake of accuracy, consumers should consult their authorized Toyota dealer for more information regarding incentives."
The programs, which are summarized in the tables on this page, involve customer cash, dealer cash and cut-rate financing. All of Toyota Division's 16 lines of cars and light trucks and its 55 models are included in the round-robin offers.
The offers expire April 30. They replace a simpler set of incentives that ended March 31.
