DETROIT -- Robert Magill, General Motors' first vice president of industry-government relations, died April 9 in suburban Detroit. He was 85.
Magill joined GM in 1955 as an assistant tax director. He became vice president of industry-government relations in 1971, managing offices in Washington, Detroit and 11 other locations. Magill retired in 1982.
Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Holy Name Church, 645 Woodland, Birmingham, Mich., with visitation at 9:30 a.m.
