Dealers handling import-badged brands are opening more and more single-line stores, and it's one of the imports' better ideas.
The reasons are obvious and compelling: Exclusive use of showroom space and 100 percent attention of the sales staff - they sell that brand or they sell nothing.
Despite the uncertain economy, the number of single-line import-badgers in the United States set a record last year for the fourth year in a row. There now are 5,075 of them, and there will be more. Smart dealers know that it's just good business.
