TORONTO - Linamar Corp., which makes precision-machined components and modules for the automotive industry, said on Wednesday it plans to build a manufacturing facility that will create as many as 400 jobs.
The 200,000-square-foot facility will be built in Guelph, Ontario, west of Toronto, and produce cylinder heads for an existing Linamar customer.
Completion of the facility is scheduled for the middle of the year.
Linamar, with $664 million in 2001 North American OEM auto parts sales, ranks No. 61 on Automotive News' list of the Top 150 original equipment parts suppliers to North America.
