DETROIT -- Freudenberg-NOK G.P., the U.S. unit of the Freudenberg and NOK Group Cos., on Tuesday said it has named Mohsen Sohi as its CEO.
Sohi, who joins the company March 10, will be based at Freudenberg's headquarters and technology center in Plymouth, Mich. He replaces Herbert Fehrecke, who has been interim CEO since October 2002, when Joseph Day retired from that role.
Sohi, 43, was senior vice president of the retail solutions division of NCR Corp. of Dayton, Ohio. Before that, he worked for AlliedSignal Corp. and Honeywell International Inc., which merged with AlliedSignal.
At Allied Signal, Sohi was president of the commercial vehicle systems division. He also was president of Honeywell Electronic Materials.
Freudenberg, a supplier of seals, fuel systems and noise, vibration and harshness components, ranks No. 45 on Automotive News' list of the Top 150 original equipment parts suppliers to North America. It had $1 billion in North American original equipment auto parts sales in 2001.
