RV deliveries rose 18 percent in 2002.
Motor home and conversion vehicle shipments rose 13 percent in 2002 to 128,100 units, breaking a two-year streak of declines.
Van conversion shipments posted a 4.7 percent gain for the year, rising to 47,100 units. Pickup conversions gained 7.4 percent to 15,900 units, and SUV conversions hit 4,700 units, up 6.8 percent from the previous year. Motor home shipments totaled 60,400 units for 2002, up 22.8 percent from 2001. All three classes of motor homes posted gains for the year.
In December, shipments of motor homes and conversion vehicles rose 7.2 percent from the year-ago month.
