What you should know: The 2004 Mercury Monterey goes on sale this fall in the United States. It is geared for a luxury minivan buyer in his or her mid-30s or mid-40s. Options will include front- and rear-parking assist and heated and cooled front seats. Also optional will be a safety canopy that would protect passengers in all three rows. The Monterey will be built at Fords Oakville assembly plant in Oakville, Ontario. Mercury would not release information on pricing.
