DETROIT - Chrysler group added a little frosting to its rebate cake last week. The give-backs on three lines went up $500, and another line was added to the list.
Payments are $2,000 to $3,000 on the Dodge Dakota pickup, $2,000 to $2,500 on the Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, and $1,000 to $1,500 on the Ram 2500 pickup. The top figure is up $500 on all, and all are 2003 models.
The 2003 Chrysler Town & Country EL brings $500 to $1,000; it had no rebate before, although the corresponding Dodge Caravan was tagged at $500 to $1,000. Those are models ordered through the Internet
Chevrolet bumped the 2003 Avalanche SUV rebate up to $4,000; it had been$2,500.
Mitsubishi adopted a new set of February cash rebates. They apply to all 2002 and 2003 models except the 2003 Eclipse Spyder and the new 2003 Outlander SUV. Cash back is $1,250 to $2,500 on 2003s and $1,000 to $3,500 on 2002s.
Cut-rate loans of 0 percent to 3.9 percent are offered on 2003 Mitsubishi models and 1.9 percent on 2002s.
All Chrysler group, Chevrolet and Mitsubishi incentives are scheduled to expire Feb. 28.
