CHICAGO - Parts supplier BorgWarner Inc. said on Wednesday it has named its president, Timothy Manganello, to the additional post of CEO, replacing John Fiedler, who retires this year.
The appointment of Manganello, 52, a 14-year company veteran, is effective immediately.
Fiedler, 64, will remain the company's chairman until his planned retirement later this year.
Manganello was named president and COO of the company in February 2002. Before that, he was president and general manager of BorgWarner's TorqTransfer Systems unit and an executive vice president of the company.
