Feb. 4 -- We've come to expect big things from Roger Penske. From race team owner and Indianapolis 500 champion to entrepreneur and car dealer, Penske thinks big.
Now, Penske's UnitedAuto Group has one of the world's largest dealerships.
The 41-acre Chauncey Ranch complex in Scottsdale, Ariz., sells 12 brands, mostly luxury makes. There are two test tracks, 253 service bays, a Starbucks café, a car wash, a Hertz rental agency and even a Penske racing museum that's a tourist attraction. The cost reportedly topped $100 million.
The company expects to sell more than 12,000 new and used vehicles there this year and do more than $500 million in business. Yep, that's big.
