TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. -- Retired auto executive William Boyer died Oct. 26. He was 75. He helped design the 1955-1964 Ford Thunderbirds, the 1970 and 1971 Mark III and 1972 Mark IV before becoming chief designer at Ford of Australia. He retired from Ford Motor Co. in 1985.
