When Jordan Case graduated from North Texas State University in Denton, Texas, he joined the Canadian Football League's Ottawa Rough Riders, where he played until a spinal injury sidelined him at age 26.
That's when he got into a different kind of game.
A buddy talked him into taking a job selling cars at Carl Sewell Cadillac in Dallas. Nine years later, in 1991, Case joined Park Place Lexus in Grapevine, Texas, where he held the positions of pre-owned manger, new-car manager and then general manager. In 1998, he became its president and operating partner.
The game got a little more interesting for Case in December 2002 when the 46-year-old native Texan was elected chairman of the Lexus dealer council.
He spoke with Staff Reporter Arlena Sawyers.
