Jim Walker is serving a second consecutive one-year term as chairman of BMW's National Dealer Forum.
For the past couple of years, the Virginia BMW dealer has been reminding his fellow dealers that BMW expects to increase its U.S. sales nearly 50 percent, from just over 200,000 in 2001 to 300,000 by about 2007.
That means BMW dealers will have to build bigger dealerships and hire more people. Walker said dealers are getting help from BMW, including low-interest loans for exclusive dealerships. Staff Reporter Jim Henry interviewed Walker.
