DETROIT - Parts supplier Hayes Lemmerz International Inc. on Monday said it has appointed Ford Motor Co. veteran James Yost, 53, as its CFO.
Yost, who retired from Ford last year, held positions at the automaker including vice president of corporate strategy and chief information officer. He also had been finance director of Ford Europe.
Yost replaces Kenneth Hiltz, who had been interim CFO since October 2001. Hiltz will remain with Hayes Lemmerz as chief restructuring officer.

Hayes Lemmerz, all of its U.S. subsidiaries and one Mexican subsidiary in December 2001 voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The Northville, Mich., supplier of wheels, brakes, powertrain and suspension components had an estimated $1.2 billion in North American OEM auto parts sales in its 2001 fiscal year, which ended Jan. 31, 2001.
The company ranks No. 38 on Automotive News' list of the Top 150 OEM parts suppliers in North America for 2001.
