Re: "New Saturn agency flubs its first try" (April 29), Bob Garfield's flubbed quote of the commercial's punch line causes both him and his readers to miss the point. There is a big difference between Garfield's "Got a little less than you'd like, didn't you?" and (ad agency) Goodby's "Got a little lesson in life, didn't you?"
Before Bob decides that a campaign is "terrible," or "a little too stupid," I wish he would get the facts straight. Fortunately, for us readers, he says, "We reserve the right to re-evaluate when the brand campaign emerges."
