June 11 -- Don't look now, but we're about to be run over by a fleet of ultra-luxury models that cost more than $80,000.
For years, ultra luxury meant mostly Roll-Royce and Bentley on the posh side with a handful of Italian cars like Ferrari and Lamborghini on the sporty side.
But within five years there will be some 25 ultra luxury models. That includes the new Maybach from Mercedes, plus new Rolls-Royce models from BMW and new Bentley models from Volkswagen.
Aston-Martin and Porsche already have ultra luxury models and Jaguar and Audi are expected to follow.
Why now? It's simple math. We baby boomers are in our peak earning years. And there are a lot of us.
So, shall I drive, or let Jeeves do it?
